Course Shares: Connection from Windows Campus Workstations
How to Access Course Shares from Windows 7 from Campus Workstations
Note: These instructions will only work if you are using a workstation on campus in a computer laboratory or you are a faculty member connected to the VPN.
- Open the "Start" menu and click on "Computer."
Click "Map network drive."
Type the share address in the "folder" field, in the following format (the share names are case-sensitive) and click "Finish". The drive letter is assigned automatically.
Make sure you are in "Scholastic" domain. The username and password should be your Ringling logins.
If you are not in "Scholastic" domain, you will need to add "scholastic\" in front of your username, like this:
If you check the "reconnect on login" option, the share will automatically remount when you login and will be located in the "Start" menu, Computer section. You may disconnect from old shares if you right-click on the share and choose "Disconnect."
